Coming home

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Baby Sarah and Mommy get to come home tomorrow. Yeah! I just have to go get a car seat… I wasn’t ready for this! (I thought I had another weekend, but this is better! Even with a few undone chores, and a messy house… ;)

Visiting Hours

Wednesday, February 3rd, 2010

Visiting hours are now open. If you would like to come see the new baby, you are more than welcome!

Wow, the miracle of birth. Rachel is the woman of the hour, and little Sarah is the lady of the hour! It amazes me what God has done. I was a nervous wreck, the Doctor and Nurse seemed to take forever, but then they broke Rachel’s water, and one big push later Sarah came out to meet us! Then the nerves were replaced with smiles all around.

I can’t wait for the girls (Lidi and Hannah) to see their new sister. Thanks for all your prayers, and a big Praise the Lord to a God who cares, and loves us. and goes with us. This little girl (like the others) is His, and we are blessed to have her entrusted to our care!

It’s a girl!

8:44! That was fast! Not time to blog! Praise the Lord!
Sarah Anne Ward!

More pictures!

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

More pictures are up, after Grandpa Ward had a chance to see the little girl. Lydia is starting to not mind Hannah. Of coarse, Hannah is not big enough to take Lidi’s toys, or pull Lidi’s hair, or bite her self and blame it on Lidi, But I think they will be good friends!

Oh, and thanks to the Bossman for the little pink scrubs! Someday she’ll even grow into them! :)

Me and Hannah

Tuesday, July 31st, 2007

Finally, a picture of me and Hannah to show the world!

She sure is precious! She even fell asleep for me while I held her. I don’t think Lydia ever did that. Maybe I should have tried holding her when she was tiered… (Smiles all around)

A few thoughts (an overview)

Monday, July 30th, 2007

They broke Rachels water at 1:00, they checked her out at 2 ish and then decided to check her again at 5:30. If you have been reading this blog, you know what a problem that would have been! (Hello, I’m here to check you out… who’s this?) Any way, around 4:30-4:45, Rachel calmly asked the Nurse if they could check her out and tell her how far along she was. That was my 6cm got to go help my wife now blog entry.

Then Rachel got up and walked through 4 excruciating contractions. Then she got back in the bed, at my request. One contraction later she called for the nurse. She came in (Rachel was at the Pah Pah Pah’s at this point), and said, “we better get the doctor, this baby is coming! The doctor barely got in before Rachel couldn’t keep from pushing. He then said, “Go ahead and push.” A few minuets later, after a small cut, and Hannah came into the world.

Wow… Every time I see my wife go through this, I’m reminded how strong she is.  Not only can she put up with me, she can give birth to babies! (Now the debate can begin as to which is more painful!)

Lydia has had her first look at her new sister. She’s still in denial, I think!  I asked where Hannah was, and she pointed at Rachel’s belly and started saying, “Hannah, Bebe!” She’ll learn! It must be tough to have your mom’s full attention for so long, and then have an intruder start moving in. Even as I type she’s starting to accept her… It’s kind of wild to see. She just leaned over, moved her hand to Hannah’s tummy, and said “dikle, dikle, dikle!” I think it’ll work out fine!

Thank you for all your prayers, this was faster and more painful (for Rachel, not me… I just sat around and played on the computer!), and Jesus was here. Just ask Rachel!
